US champion to get WTCC test

The winner of this year's US Touring Car Championship will get a World Touring Car test with Proteam BMW at the end of the season. The prize has been arranged as part of a new cooperation between the USTCC and WTCC that aims to bring the world series to America for the first time next year. WTCC chief Marcello Lotti said: "I'm very proud of this initiative that fits perfectly in our plans of throwing a bridge between the World Championship and those national championships that share the same view of what touring car racing is."
