Easy Bomber Seat and 27 T Rat Rod

I was looking at someone else's Photobucket and saw bomber bucket seats made from Revell funny car seats.  I have some extra seats from parts kits I have bought, so I thought I would give it a try.

Here is the result.  The f/c seat requires quite a bit of cutting and sanding, but the result is pretty impressive.

Here are all the cuts I made.  You have to cut out the curved bottom (lower right piece) in order to end up with a flat seat attachment.  I used a paper hole punch to start the side trimming, then wire snips to cut the remaining sides.  After all the cuts, you take your sanding stick and make it look the way you want.  You can go in and drill lightning holes in the seat if you want that detail.

A piece of flat styrene makes the seat bottom (file to fit).
