For Formula 1 fans it could by the ultimate way to see what it's really like to drive at the highest level.

However, only the most affluent fans need apply for what its maker say is one of the most realistic simulators on the market.

Budding racing drivers will feel like they’re out on the circuit for real in the full size car - if they are willing to part with £90,000.

The simulators, which have three 23 inch screens and a speaker tower, are made to order in the buyer’s chosen team colours.

Engineers visit each buyer’s house to install the product and train the new owner to use the controls and get the most out of their luxury gadget.

Simon Harvey, Group Chief Executive of FMCG International Ltd, said: 'These cars really the ultimate big boys toy.

'They have the added bonus of looking great and allowing the more professional driver to hone their skills and improve their driving technique.

'This is all possible without the need to leave the comfort of their own home.'

After picking out their body colour and wheel rim colours, wannabe Jenson Buttons must wait between 12 - 18 weeks for delivery.

They can choose to be on any current F1 team and race wherever they like.

Mr Harvey added: 'Drivers are fully absorbed into the virtual environment created from sitting in our simulator.

'The large screens create a precise driving experience and drivers can choose from all the current F1 teams.

'They can race on all the circuits that F1 visits during the year throughout the world.

'Feedback from our clients has been amazing, from individuals using it at home to clients in USA using it as a full race training aid.'

The company has been making the simulators since 1986.

Mr Harvey said: 'The level of detail in construction of our F1 Simulators is extraordinary.

'Our cars are indistinguishable from the real thing.

'We replicate the cutting edge of design and technology that F1 is renowned for.'

The simulators are made from composites, carbon fibre details and alloy.

Although they will never grace the tarmac, they are fitted with Pirelli F1 tyres plus AP Racing or Brembo brake callipers.

It includes a custom high end digital PC with Intel Core i7 processor, Intel SSD hard drive, a wireless keyboard and mouse.

However, the wholesaler Costco warns budding Jenson Buttons the purchase is too big to simply be put through the website checkout and customers must call up.
