Ordering custom features on most cars has a bit of a limit on it. Buy a Porsche Boxster, for example, and you can quickly notch up the options to the point that you have an invoice that makes you wonder why you don't simply step up to the 911 already. But Rolls-Royce is in another league.
Since Goodwood's finest are at the top of the market, when it comes to customization, the sky is the proverbial limit. Which could go a long way towards explaining why such a large proportion of Rolls-Royce customers opt for bespoke touches of one kind or another.
In fact, the demand is so high that Rolls-Royce has had to double the staff in its Bespoke division. By year end, the headcount will swell to over 50 specialists in that department alone, all dedicated towards satisfying any order, no matter how minute or how extensive.
