Rubens Barrichello described the first day of running of the Williams FW33 as "positive" after completing 77 laps in the new car at Valencia today. The Brazilian lost track time when a problem arose with the motor generator unit in the team's KERS system that the team is confident can be easily fixed for tomorrow, but he was otherwise happy with the progress made. This is despite admitting that the programme that he was working through on the first day - which included testing the new adjustable rear wing - made it difficult to judge the potential of the car.
